Engine block machining, honing and sleeving
Block preparation for engine rebuilds, tuning and motorsport projects. Machining is specified from the block design, condition and the components planned for assembly.
Work defined by the project
- Cylinder boring and honing, with preparation for the selected pistons and rings.
- Cylinder sleeving and block deck preparation.
- Additional modifications, such as closed-deck preparation, agreed for the particular design.
How to prepare your enquiry
Send the engine code, block photographs, damage history and details of previous machining. Include piston and ring specifications if already selected. State the intended use and engine configuration; final dimensions and inspection requirements must be agreed.
Can the work be quoted from the vehicle model alone?
The vehicle model helps identify the project but does not establish the condition of the block or the machining required. Engine details and assessment of the component are needed to define the work.
